A companion questioned Muhammad the Messenger, may Allah bless him and give him peace, about the meaning of the Quranic Sura Ikhlas. The beloved Messenger replied:

I once posed this very question to Archangel Gabriel, who supplicated the Lord of Power concerning Ikhlas and received these words from Allah: Ikhlas is a secret known only unto Me. I entrust it to the hearts of those whom I love most intensely among My servants.

Description:

“The Study Quran is a treasure trove of insights and information. There is nothing quite like it in English: a single volume comprising an accessible translation, a survey of classical commentaries, essays by prominent scholars, informative appendices, and multiple maps. Indeed a massive, unprecedented undertaking.”
(Mohammad Hassan Khalil, Associate Professor of Islamic Studies and Director of the Muslim Studies Program, Michigan State University)
