This masterfully crafted extra large Qajar incense burner, and cover, has finely executed open-work all over in the form of flowing tendrils, flowers, and figures in Qajar dress. It is complemented with an intricately engraved calligraphic band that surrounds the circumference of the burner. It stands on a tripod and the lid is surmounted by engraved images of dervishes, warriors and animals. The base sits on a low foot engraved with a floral band.
This wonderful piece is perfect for large spaces such as a mosque or zawia/ durgah.
