Large Oval Pendant containing the Kiswah al-Saadat Covering from the Sacred Chamber (Hujrah) of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ in Masjid an-Nabawi, Medina

Verily there has come to you a messenger from among yourselves for whom it is grievous that you should suffer; who is full of concern for you, to the believers full of pity, merciful.

(Quran; 9:128)

Rumi's Garden humbly presents a large oval pendant with an authentic fragment of the contemporary green and white blessed kiswah (Kiswah al-Saadat; Curtain of Bliss) from the Sacred Chamber of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ (Hujrah al-Nabawia al-Sharifa; الحجرة النبوية الشريفة) in Masjid al-Nabawi (Medina). The fragment of the Kiswah al-Saadat comes from a larger panel that was used inside the Sacred Chamber.

Shortly after the farewell pilgrimage, The Messenger of Allah ﷺ became ill. He left this earthly abode on 8 June, 632 AD, while resting his head on the lap of his beloved wife, Sayida Aiesha (RAA). He was buried in her home (Hujrah).

On the passing of the Caliphs Sayidna Abu Bakr Al-Siddiq (RAA) and Sayidna Umar ibn Al-Khattab (RAA), they were buried beside Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. The burial grounds became known as The Sacred Prophetic Chamber (Hujrah al-Nabawia al-Sharifa) which now lies under the Green Dome of Masjid an-Nabawi. The graves are surrounded by a beautifully woven curtain called "The Curtain of Bliss" (Kiswah al-Saadat).

The Kiswah al-Saadat fragment is an important relic that can serve as a reminder of our love for our Beloved Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, especially when worn beside the heart in the form of a pendant. The pendant has been carefully constructed by Rumi's Garden and measures 42mm x 33mm x 9mm. The back of the pendant is made to be durable. The Kiswah al-Saadat cloth is covered with oval glass in order to protect it, as well as for hygiene purposes.
