VAT & Import Duty

VAT

Rumi's Garden is a VAT registered company (IVA Number: ESY7521386D) based in Spain. For all purchases made within the EU, a VAT tax of 21% is required to be collected and paid, by Rumi's Garden, to the Spanish government. Based on the price of your order, the amount of VAT tax will appear during the checkout process and on the final invoice.

Import Duties and Fees

When ordering from www.RumisGarden.co.uk, the recipient is the importer of record and must comply with all laws and regulations of their destination. Orders shipped outside of the EU may be subject to import taxes, customs duties, and fees levied by their destination country. All charges for customs clearance must be fulfilled by the recipient; www.RumisGarden.co.uk has no control over these charges, nor can Rumi's Garden predict what they may be. If any disputes or disagreements regarding custom payments arise, the client needs to contact their tax, payments and customs authority to resolve the problem.

Customs policies vary widely; you should contact your local customs office for more information. When customs clearance procedures are required, it can cause delays beyond original delivery time estimates.

Customs offices in some countries or regions require the importer of record to provide a particular form of identification before releasing a shipment. You may be required to provide an identification number such as a Unique Identification Number, CPF, or Tax ID, or a proof of identity and address such as a copy of your passport or driving license.

Post-Brexit UK Orders

Since January 1st, 2021, Great Britain (GB) is no longer a member of the EU Customs Union and VAT regime. This means goods being imported from the EU into the UK, excluding Northern Ireland, face new customs declarations, inspections, and import obligations. For more information click on www.gov.uk.

Customs & Commercial Invoices

For customs purposes, Rumi's Garden is obliged to send out invoices so your order may reach its destination safely. The items you purchased may be named differently on the invoices as opposed to the title on the website. The reason for this is to simplify & clarify the tariffs and product descriptions for custom agents worldwide in order to avoid any mistakes on their part.

Not Paying the Import and Customs Tax

In cases where the client does not pay the import/ customs tax, DHL will return the order to Rumi's Garden. Rumi's Garden will issue a refund in these cases after deducting both the shipping price and the return shipping price of the order.
