Description of Ayat al-Kursi Leather Pendant containing water used to wash Prophet Muhammad's ﷺ Hair
Rumi's Garden presents a magnificent Ayat al-Kursi taweez (tawidh) necklace that is crafted to offer spiritual protection and imbue a sense of the sacred. Encased in a beautiful genuine leather pouch, engraved with the Divine Name Allah on the front and Muhammad on the back, the Ayat al-Kursi amulet is designed to be worn close to the heart. In traditional Kufi calligraphy, the powerful protective ayah is scripted on white cotton cloth and then sprayed with Zamzam water collected from the washing of the blessed hair of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. The pouch comes with an adjustable leather cord, and can be opened via a button to retrieve the cloth piece. The cotton cloth measures 12 x 12 cm and the pouch is approximately 5 x 5.5 cm. Please note that since the pendant is made of genuine leather, it is not water-proof. With wear, the calligraphy embossed on the pouch may also fade.
Ayah al-Kursi (2:255) is considered to be one of the greatest verses in the Holy Quran by Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. It is believed that wearing an amulet with Ayat al-Kursi can offer similar benefits and protections as reciting the verse itself. These include protection from physical and spiritual evil influences, harm and danger during travel, and the negative forces of jinn, magic, and the evil eye. Wearing the amulet also brings with it a sense of peace and tranquility, as well as an increase in blessings from Allah.
The Ayat al-Kursi is a revered verse in the Holy Quran and is commonly found in mosques and private homes, often carried as a pendant for protection. Rumi's Garden's amulet is made even more effective with the infusion of Zamzam water collected from the washing of the blessed hair of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. This traditional practice of washing the Prophetic hair is performed with prayers and supplications for blessings from Allah, and the water collected is believed to carry spiritual significance.
